Responsibility

What comes to your mind when you hear the word "Responsibility"?, most often it comes across as a burden, pressure and something to do with power.

Responsibility exists more like a cause and effect relationship. If you work hard you will be successful. Your success is co-related to the amount of hard work you do.

When you are responsible, you also get the credit or blame based on the results you have accomplished or failed to accomplish.

If you look at all the above views of Responsibility, they all are based on the past (i.e things which have already happened)

We can view Responsibility in a new context, which is based on the future.  We can look at responsibility as "Ability to respond", i.e what you are willing to do from now onwards.

It is your willingness to take action and make things happen. It is a process of creation and empowering self and others in taking action.

It is based on freedom and choice.

So when you take up any responsibility you are not the cause for what happened, rather you are willing to create what is required.

So now can take responsibility for your life?

Some Quotes

Never lose the child-like wonder. It's just too important. It's what drives us.

Don't complain; just work harder.

If I could only give three words of advice, they would be, "tell the truth." If I got three more words, I'd add: "All the time."

Never give up

Health

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity". Some people have also added Finance to the list.

Further, the meaning of the highlighted words is given below.

state -  a: mode or condition of being <a state of readiness>  b  : condition of mind or temperament

complete -  a : having all necessary parts, elements, or steps <a complete diet>

being - the quality or state of having existence b (1) : something conceivable as existing (2) : something that actually exists (3) : the totality of existing things c : conscious existence

We all know that the health is important. We all are busy chasing wealth and in the process losing health, most of the times we end up losing both.

Health is very important aspect of our life. One way to manage is to look at the context for health, ask yourself "Why health?". One of my friend has shared this- he has created a context that "My Health –is for my children".  He has quit smoking and is taking care of his health.

Look at the context for your health then the actions to manage will follow.
