Leadership and Leaders: Peter F. Drucker

The best way to predict the future is to create it.
Peter F. Drucker

One of the greatest human beings of our time Peter F. Drucker has died this month. Certainly on of the greatest management thinkers, philosopher, historian, academician who has touched, moved and inspired millions of millions of people across the globe through his teachings, seminars, writings and books.

In ‘Management challenges for 21st century’, he has very clearly mentioned about ‘Managing oneself ‘, the last part of the book which talks about identifying ones strengths and using it to become from competent to excellent.

In the other book ‘Effective Executive’ he has nicely mentioned of effective executives produce results. First of all clearing stating that effectiveness can be learned.

In the book (so called his Autobiography) , “Adventures of the Bystander” he has beautifully pictured through his words, the social and political scenes of his early ages, especially of Europe during world war.

One of the major distinctions observed during the IT revolution was not on high computes or software, his distinction of ‘information’ what he said in his writings was, the first revolution occurred when ‘Writing’ was invented, the second when ‘the books’ in manuscripts were made, the third when the ‘printing’ was invented and what we are observing now is fourth.

The Times of India, in its article has mentioned ‘ Don’t reduce Renaissance man to management expert’, It is true, he is beyond adjectives, Peter F. Drucker is Peter F. Drucker. Period.
